There are two kinds of fears, the one that is dysfunctional and the other that helps us to stay away from danger. You need to be very careful of the former as it can inhibit your healthy and happy lifestyle. Healthy living is all about tracking down your fears and handling them well.

Healthy living is all about handling fear effectively. Some of the fears you may be having are loud, and you can spot them easily, while others can be subtle and dangerous. If you want to handle fear effectively, then you need to develop deep awareness of your emotions. Deep awareness of your fears is the first step you can take to overcome them to attain a healthy living. A deep awareness of your emotions is a sign of high emotional intelligence. In addition to deep awareness and having the adequate skills to overcome fear, you also need to know the fundamental underlying principles of fear and handling fear.

Fear is a part of healthy living and will continue to exist as long you live. Do you have a secret belief or desire to have a healthy living without fear? If you have such a belief or desire, then you need to get rid of it as quickly as possible. Always remember that it is OK to have fears.

Fear can only be overcome by action. If you wait for fear to go away so that you can act on something, then you will end up waiting forever. This is a common mistake. Motivation comes after action not before it.

Your self-esteem is deeply tied to the way you are handling fear. The more you act, handle fear, and accomplish the goals of your life, the more your self-esteem will grow and become rock solid.

Everyone experiences fear and they will continue to feel it throughout their lives. Even the celebrities, the super talented and highly successful men and women will experience fear every time they have to perform. If you have the belief that there is something wrong with you because you are experiencing fear, then you need to get rid of this erroneous belief. In fact, if you do not have any fears,then you need to be worried. If you are having fears, then be assured that you are normal. What, however, you need to be always be aware of is whether the fears you are having are making you dysfunctional and preventing you from having a healthy living.

Overcoming fear is less painful than living with it forever. Even though you may find it very difficult to believe in this principle, you need to act on it and see the results for yourself. Acting on this principle will give you a great sense of relief.

One of the best ways to internalize these principles is to take one principle at a time and develop deep awareness of how aligned or mis-aligned you are to it. Observe yourself in real life situations and you will get a clue.

If you want to have a healthy living lifestyle that can lead you to success, happiness and peace, then you need to get all your fears onto the table and handle them one by one. The key to successfully overcoming fear is to take them one by one. Start small and slowly graduate yourself to your bigger fears. In order to accomplish this you must create an inventory of all your fears.

While you attempt to overcome your fears, you need to realize that you have two kinds of obstacles to overcome -the obstacles created by yourself, and the obstacles created by others.

One of the primary ways you create obstacles for yourself is by listening to your internal dialogues. For most of the people, their internal dialogues are negative. The only antidote to these internal dialogues is through positive thinking. One of the best ways to do this is to practice some affirmations.

  • I am learning from my mistakes
  • I am successful
  • I am positive
  • I am achieving my goals

Your mind is like a powerful computer. It acts the way it is programmed. All the fears you have in life are what you have or others have programmed for you. You have been programmed by your parents, teachers, friends, and society. It is time to take charge of your own programming and set things right. The beauty of affirmations is that they will work even if you are not too convinced about them and what they say.

The only principle you need to keep in mind is that they should be repeated repeatedly. You have to keep practicing and make positive affirmations a way of healthyliving. There is a lot of negativity that surrounds you that will make you feel low and fearful. Affirmations are a powerful technique by which you will overcome your negativity and your fears.

You also have to reinforce your affirmations through positive action. The combination of positive thoughts and actions will begin to work their magic on you before you even know it.

Positive affirmations will help you to have a healthy living and will help you in handling your fears correctly. Make affirmations a part of life. There are a lot of things you do routinely with ease like brushing your teeth, showering, and eating. Practicing affirmations should also become a routine. You must feel as uneasy as not brushing your teeth if you miss your affirmations.
